Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall Receives Top Honors From Industry Publications

Spectra by Comcast Spectacor, which provides Venue Management and Food Services & Hospitality to Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall and the Convention Center, is pleased to announce Boardwalk Hall has once again been recognized as a ‘Top Stop’ by two entertainment industry publications.  Both VenuesToday Magazine and Pollstar Magazine have ranked the historic venue highly among the top 200 in the world.

In the 10,001-15,000 seat capacity category, VenuesToday has ranked Boardwalk Hall as the 11th 2016 Mid-Year ‘Top Stop’ in the world and 6th in the US. This ranking is derived from concert and event grosses reported to the publication from October 16, 2015 through May 15, 2016.

“Everyone at Boardwalk Hall is grateful to once again secure a top spot in Venues Today’s mid-year rankings in the category of top performing mid-sized arenas for 2016,” said Spectra’s Fran Rodowicz, General Manager of Boardwalk Hall.  “This recognition would not be possible without the support from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, our partners, and promoters that we have worked with for continuing to bring shows and productions to Boardwalk Hall and Atlantic City.”

In addition, Pollstar Magazine named its Top 200 Venues in the publication’s Mid-Year Worldwide Ticket Sales for the first half of 2016.  Boardwalk Hall placed 71st in the US and 126th overall with 52,794.  The chart is based on ticket sales to concerts (excluding non-sporting events and most family shows) at venues of all sizes from January 1 through July 1, 2016.

Boardwalk Hall and the Atlantic City Convention Center are owned and funded by the CRDA.
